Hi, hello, and welcome to my blog dedicated solely to film reviews. You may be asking yourself "If the world is round how come we can't fall off?" Oh wait. I mean "Why should I care about your reviews?" And the answer is that I love movies and I think I have a pretty good taste in them, like many of you. And even though I think I'm pretty creative, I'm not interested in doing 'gimmick' reviews where I play a character or give movies pictures of a seal or something instead of stars. I'm just going to rate and review films and do my best not to spoil them so if you haven't seen them, you can check them out yourself.Here is how I rate films:
**** - An excellent, almost flawless film. I am not as conservative with giving a movie four stars as some professional critics may be, but I'm also not as liberal with it as your typical movie go-er who will see G-Force and give it four stars because it's the best animated gerbil movie they've ever seen.
***1/2 - A great film, but it has a few flaws or just doesn't quite reach 'excellent' status for some reason.
*** - A good/great movie. To me, all films should aspire to be at least three stars.
**1/2 - An above average movie that's worth seeing, but isn't exactly required viewing.
** - A completely average affair that may be worth a look, but will ultimately not effect your life if you don't see it.
* or *1/2 - These are just bad movies.
DUD - A complete waste of time, and probably an embarrassment to cinema.
